I've had a great day today! Nothing extraordinary happened other than the fact that I slept though the night! ALL THE WAY THROUGH! SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! I usually wake up all night long for one reason or another - usually because I'm too hot or uncomfortable. I woke up for the first time at 5:30ish, which is about 30 minutes before my alarm went off, but STILL. I didn't take any meds, either (other than the prescribed buckets-ful). It's amazing what a little sleep will do!
I've been pretty productive tonight, too. At the moment, in addition to typing away, I'm also singing my heart out to Christmas carols on Spotify. Wrapping up is "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" by Frank Sinatra. Love...
Now it's "Silver Bells" by buh buh buh... Dean Martin. Fun fact: He and my grandfather were both born on the same day in the same year.
I'm just having a good day. No ah-ha moment or anything... Sleep and probably some calmed anxiety about my many funky parts surely helped, too.
*** HOLD. Dance break for "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" (Hello, fellow Medina Encore members... You know this dance, too!)
Sorry. I'm back. This might be the lamest post ever but I'm not feeling like a negative Nancy and I just want to sing and dance around the room. What's ironic is that the whole Christmas season used to depress the hell out of me. I hated it. I couldn't wait until 12/26. If I hadn't had kids, I would have skipped it for the last nearly 20 years. No lie. I don't know what flip got switched, but I love it now. LOVE it. It just makes me happy.
Sidebar (as if I haven't had several of them already!)...
Life is sure more enjoyable when you give yourself a damn break. I need to do that more often.
Oh - and more singing. Singing is my favorite!
On that note (see what I did there?), it's time to skedaddle. (What a great word, no?)
